Electronic Communication has brought a lot of advance in the world today. It is because of the electronic communication and technology that one can see a major change in the jobs, location of work and work cultures. One could never think of the term telecommuting in the old days but this phenomenon is a reality today. It is used for people who work from home. The home based jobs where you are linked to the office by the modem and computer terminal is called telecommuting. Electronic communication has brought with itself Local Area Networks or LAN and Wide Area Networks or WAN messaging systems. Then we have the fax, telex and data communication modems.
