Rep Power: 3 | Japanese tech giant Toshiba has confirmed that they are going to start selling 8GB high speed SD cards starting early next year. These cards would support the “class 4” high-speed data writing specification of the SD Card Association. Toshiba claims that these cards would be able to record at around 6 MB per second and these would be suitable for applications such as video recording. At this capacity, the card would be able to hold around 3 hours worth of high definition video. This card would be sold in the Japanese market for around ¥40,000 (US$340). Toshiba also plans to sell it in American and European markets. |
