Under the agreement monster world wide Inc. will provide carrer content on yahoo home page for 3 years in cannada and USA. Yahoo will pay monster annually based on number of clicks. This acquisition by monster will reduce competition and this will be better help to job seekers and employers who now have a larger pool of job postings to choose from

Yahoo had purchased hotjobs.com eight years back for 439 million dollars where yahoo had outbid monster.com. This sale by yahoo is in line with its strategy to lighten the corporate load to concentrate on news and entertainment content. Yahoo has already sold Zimbra to VMware for an undisclosed amount.
