Indian premiere league starting in march, This year the matches will be streamed live on youtube.

Google has reportedly bagged a 2 year rights to stream IPL live. This is going to be the first ever sporting event to be streamed live on youtube. Youtube will telecast 60 matches over some 45 days and it will be free too and this deal holds good for every country outside USA .

But well considering the broadband speeds in India I don’t think many will be able to watch it live also majority of Indians don’t have access to internet. But this great news for it increases the viewer ship and makes cricket more and more global. We may well see a broadband providers war to provide best possible speed !

Again I have to speak about Online Streaming, I don't think showing IPL on YouTube will be an intelligent idea as most of the Internet users in India use slow connection's or most of the Internet connections in India are too slow for Online Streaming.
