The fourth largest search engine on the web Ask.com has now entered into the local search engine market with the launch of AskCity.com service.
With this, they are intensifying their challenge to the domination of Google Local and Yahoo! Local services.
Ask believes that the killer aspect of their new service is the fact that it brings all the popular search categories at one single place. Ask CEO Jim Lanzone said: “No one has brought all the tools together in one cohesive way that lets you achieve your tasks - until now.”
Lanzone added that they are providing more specific information as they are allowing people to search for businesses in a specific neighborhood, not just a city.
