Sources claim that China now has more than 19.87 million Internet bloggers. This is a 24 percent increase over the past 12 months.
And research has shown that as many as 15% of these bloggers update their blogs at least once a week. Just around 4.6 percent do it daily.
The study conducted by local internet giant Baidu found out that blogs related to medicine and education are very popular.
China is one of the fastest growing internet market in the world and internet access in the country is somewhat censored by the government.
Recent reports said that the government is considering making it mandatory for bloggers to register with the government. They would be allowed to blog anonymously but would require to reveal their real identity to the government.
