Default AdSense revenue share secrets revealed

Just like millions of other webmasters I always used to wonder what the percentage of revenue share would be with adsense as Google never made this information public.. But that just changed about an hour ago

Adsense for content publishers revenue share is 68% of the total ads spend on your pages.. It has always been 68% for the publishers ever since Google launched adsense.

Adsense for search publishers get 51% revenue share.

I dont know how this information will help but I am happy that Google decided to part with this closely guarded secret which was very well kept all these years

What does this mean? How would this information help?
To be honest I dont know... Publishers will still keep on trying different ads networks and would stick with the one that works the best for their niche/website.

I have no idea why Google kept it a secret all these years and why they just announced it out of the blue..

Thanks for the update. I used to think that it's 70 % for publishers.

No they dont... You have not taken into consideration the employees cost and infrastructure they have and the ongoing development costs that they incur.. Its all out of their own cut.
