Thread: Now you can have presonalized wallpapers on Google search

Google has introduced a new feature that allows you to put a background image of your choice on Google.com in place of Google's plain, white background.

It is pretty similar to Bing. It has several wallpapers recommended by google but the more interestingly you can upload your own personalized pic of your choice and keep it as wallpaper on your google search engine.

Information Week reports that, according to an email from Google, customizing Google.com with a background image will not slow the search engine's load time.

It may be not available to all users as they have just recently launched. Some information about this feature says that this feature might not be available on international domains... may be you can go to google.us and either bookmark or set it as home page. I have not tried this. It is just an idea from my side as i am currently in USA and i dont know if it will work in India. But still give it a shot.. enjoy...

Yes its an interesting feature but its not very recent. I used it last year too there are many wallpapers to choose. I am not sure but maybe its part of the igoogle concept. Not sure though

I have not noticed this feature before just using it`s search nothing else.

But Bing looks better in the background image than google.

Apart from igoogle Google too has this function of setting background image on the page, makes it more personalized Kool function.

You can choose your own collections too and enjoy the different Google background. However I find Google loads a litter slower than usual if you change the background.
