    Default MBA Future in India

Well it's long time no see you guys and the main reason behind that was I'd been quite busy for particular period that's why I wasn't in sync with you all okay better late than never!!! I have come up with hell lots of question yet again- so better prepared for bouncers.
As we all know Mba in India infact in abroad too is at BOOM and I want to know for arts background student is it relevant to opt Mba as a career option here I mean to say what hindrences he/ she got to face pursuing mba career?
My second question is what specialisation course in MBA is prolofic for an arts background student- be it Marketing or HR or IT?
Is it essential to have good command over Maths to do well in Mba?

Welcome back. If you're good at convincing people, you can opt for the marketing. You would like to do finance if you've some commerce background as few of the papers are tough. However, it doesn't mean that an arts student can't opt for finance.

MBA-IT is alright. Basically, you'll be selling the products of some Anti-virus company, Hardware manufacturer etc after you complete it. If you develop good programming skills during the course, you may land up in a Blue chip company as Associate Software Engineer. Perhaps this is the only way for an Arts student to become an engineer. lol
However, if you just want to sell the products even of IT companies, I suggest that you choose Marketing instead of the IT stream. It will broaden the opportunities for you.

It's a myth that MBA-HR is good for girls. Boys can do well at it too. Assuming that you're a male, you'll have stiff competition as companies will be vying to pick up beautiful girls. If you've good communication skills, you can go ahead with the MBA-HR.

Good command on Maths is not required to do well in the MBA courses. Still you need to have nifty quantitative aptitude to crack the MBA entrance exams like CAT, MAT, XAT etc.

Bottomline is getting admission in a reputed college with good placement records. That's what it all matters for the MBA seekers. Skills, you can develop.

While MBA regular colleges give you a platform for placements, you're on your own when pursuing distance courses. Apart from that, it requires dedication for self-study in the distance learning. There are many distractions in life, and regular courses help you to concentrate more on studies. There is always someone to guide you. Generally, people who are working or doing some other regular course opt for the distance learning. Financial constraints are also there for many.

If you've made up your mind for distance learning, I suggest that you start working alongside too. Whatever be the salary, try to gain as much work experience as you can.

Yes, the universities you've mentioned are good. There is IGNOU too. I don't know about the present course structure, but it has secured its own place in the distance learning. However, it's tough to score good in IGNOU. Check out with the guys who have already done some distance learning from these institutes. There are sites like pagalguy.com where you may find better answers.
