Rep Power: 10 | DaimlerChrylser has said that they are going to resume the production of Dodge Challenger in 2008. They are aiming to get some sales from the segment who likes muscle cars inspired from the past. Dodge Challenger would join other similar models in the market, which are based on the models of the yesteryears. Ford has its redesigned iconic Mustang in this segment. Chrysler Group President and Chief Executive Tom LaSorda spoke on this new development: “It’s a modern take on one of the most iconic muscle cars.” DaimlerChrylser might find few buyers for this car with fuel prices in the US at a peak and consumers preferring reliable and efficient Japanese cars to the Fords and the other local brands. |
