AusuTek launches Eee PC 900 AsusTek Inc. has launched their latest version of Eee PC which is making big time news as Eee PC is one of the hottest selling low-cost laptop. This new model will enable users to choose between Windows XP and Linux as their operating system.
The new Eee PC 900 comes with an 8.9 inch display screen which has a native resolution of 1024x786 pixels which is much higher as compared to the older version Eee PC 701 which came with a 7-inch screen with 800x400 pixels of resolution.
The Eee PC also comes loaded with 1 GB RAM, 1.3 MP camera and 12 GB or 20 GB solid-state-drive (SSD). It also has a unique trackpad feature which is a replica of Apple touchpad (trackpad) that Apple offers in their MackBook.
Windows lover are also a little bit relieved after Microsoft announced to extend the deadline of its most popular operating system Windows XP which is the only option available for Windows lovers as Vista cannot be used on these low-cost laptops because of the low configuration.
Windows version Eee PC will also come with many other features such as Windows Live Messenger and Windows Live Mail. Microsoft Works will also be included in the package as an entry level-application suite.
Price of this new model was not disclosed for United States market but after conversion the estimated price equates to $513. |
