| HP is the latest laptop manufacturer to launch another entry level ultraportable laptop that will compete AsusTek’s Eee PC which is dominating itself in the low-cost laptop market. HP 2133 Mini-Note Pc is a little more bulky and slightly more expensive than AsusTek’s Eee PC, but this can be compensated with the features and power it provides which are much more than what Eee PC offers. Mini-Note PC is also capable of running the resource eating Windows Vista which is not an option in Eee PC. This new laptop comes in two options, Linux and Windows. The Linux version is priced at $499 which comes with Via 1.2 Ghz processor, 1 GB RAM, 120 GB HDD, 56K Modem, LAN, Bluetooth and a 3-cell battery which is lasts for more than 2 hours once fully charged. The Windows version is priced at $599 which comes with Windows Vista Home, 2 GB RAM and a 6 cell battery and rest of the configurations are same as of the Linux version. HP, which is well known for manufacturing conservative business-focused laptop has done a good job with this small machine. It looks that not only educational users will go for this machine but also business users will like to try out this master-piece. |
