 Adoption of de-duplication technology on the rise
De-duplication technology is a new type of technology which is gaining quick popularity among the customers who are facing problems with data duplication. This new technology basically removes duplicate content on the server which in result increases the speed and storage space.
Net App. Inc., who has already experienced a triple increase in the number of customers in last to quarter, claims to be the only major storage and management services vendor who provides de-duplication technology with end to end solution. They have served this technology on more than 3,500 servers with approx. 100 Petra Byte of storage.
Many companies such as Dexma and IBM are already using this new technology. Dexma which develops mortgage-lending software for financial institutions, have already seen an increase of 35 percent in their storage capacity.
On the other hand IBM who have also seen a rapid increase in demand for this new technology have also joined hands with Net App. Inc. in an effort to provide its customers with a choice of de-duplication technology.
Net App. has also decided to offer this new technology free of cost with all of its products to present and new customers. This step will further increase the number of customers for the company.
