Default Sony removes “bloatwares” for free

Sony has decided to offer free-removal of so-called “blotware” software after an uproar against this act from the company on Friday.
Bloatware are trial software which laptop manufacturers often install onto their new machines as these software manufacturers pay them to expose their software to the new laptop buyer. This trial installation is done in an attempt to lure laptop customers to buy these software’s.
Sony was first charging $ 49.99 for removal of these “bloatware” software’s from their buyer of Vaio TZ2000 and Vaio TZ2500 laptops. This charge was in addition to the up-gradation cost from Windows Vista Business OS from Windows Vista Home Premium which users had to pay.
Sony said that it will like to have a fresh start in this matter and it will offer free software removal service to two of its Vaio models.
Customers who will go for this new fresh start may miss out some good software such as Microsoft World, WinDVD, QuickBooks Simple Start, Sony's Vaio Creation Suite Photo Software with a Corel Paint Shop Pro trial version which were a part of the bloatware software package.
Bloatware, also reduces the machine performance, hard disk space and system resources which can effect performance of software required by the users.
Sony is not the first one to offer the bloatware removal service, Dell and Everex also offered the same service after hearing bad reviews from their customers.
