Rep Power: 3 | NPD, a research firm released sales reports of Apple for the month of February, according to which Apple shipments were up by 64 percent as compared to the reports of February same month last year but the overall gain this Feb was only 20 percent. The major credit for sale increase is given to MacBook Air which was launched in January and gave a boost of 20 percent to Apple sales for the first quarter reports. As per NPD, Apple was able to keep up the momentum for their MacBook and MacBook Pro, but it will not be possible to keep the momentum going in the second quarter. Apple desktops sales also did pretty well as sales increased by 55 percent as compared to the sales reports of February last year. It was first rumored that Apple may be focusing too much on its other products like iPhone and iPod which may make Macintosh suffer in the sales reports, but this rumor was wrong and it looks like Apple is doing very well with its strategy of introducing Intel Chipset and launch of retail stores, which gave users a great buying experience. |
