Indeed u need to install the appropriate drivers, Windows 7 comes with a preset set of drivers necessary to make the OS running, but for the real drivers which enhances performance u should use automatic updates. The machine's hardware will be accessed and latest drivers will be listed as downloads.

Make sure u unlock the regional themes, it really enhances the eye-candy of Win 7.
