Thread: Axis Bank - Online Mobile Recharge Issue

Most of the private banks in India provide the feature of online prepaid mobile recharge for most of the mobile phone service providers through their net banking facilities like ICICI bank, HDFC bank.

AXIS bank also used to provide this feature and it was quite handful as I could recharge my mobile for as low as Rs.10 to any amount as and when needed sitting at the home. But it has been almost 9-10 months now that AXIS bank removed this feature. First i thought it was some temporary problem or updating due to which this service is stopped but it is permanent. Can anyone here please tell me why this happened? Why only AXIS bank stopped this service while all other banks are still providing the same service?

Well didnt u contact the bank themselves? What was their take on the matter?

no i didnt contact the bank coz it is not a problem which only i am facing - this feature has been completely removed from their services.

apparently there were some gateway related issues. so for quite some time Axis (Uti) Bank has stopped this feature.
Its still available through ATM

atm feature is quite useless. if u can go to an atm to recharge , u can also get it done from any shop. recharging sitting at home whenever u need was very convenient.

i use the SMS recharge facility provided by Citibank credit card.
recharge anytime anywhere.
