Giorgio Armani coming to India
More and more international fashion houses are considering establishing a presence in the Indian market. Giorgio Armani happens to be the latest one as this fashion house is planning to enter India within 18 months.
This decision comes after the company expanded massively in the recent times. Armani opened up 41 new shops globally in 2005 alone with most of the emphasis in the Asian countries.
They are expected to find a ready customer base in the Indian market ranging from executives to Bollywood stars who already purchase their merchandise from their stores abroad.
Armani is planning to start with two boutiques in capital New Delhi and two in the financial hub of Mumbai. They expect these four shops to make revenues of 10 million euros annually. The company already has a good presence in the Chinese and Japanese market.
