Gartner institute has said in a report that the world’s leading mobile phone maker Nokia is improving its position in the market.
The Finland based company captured 35.1 percent of the market in the third quarter of the year. This is an improvement from 32.5 percent in the same period last year.
Motorola continues to remain on the second spot with a market share of 20.6 percent. They had a market share of 18.7 percent a year earlier.
Samsung is the third biggest player in the market though they lost a bit of their market share. Gartner added that worldwide sales of mobile phones rose 21.5 percent to 251 million units in the third quarter. They expect the market to see sales of 986 million units in the current year.
