Default Tesco-Bharti talks on a partnership ends

As per incoming information, Tesco has ended their talks with the Indian telecom giant Bharti for a possible retail venture for the Indian market.

The UK supermarket giant however did not reveal the reasons on why their talks ended without any result. Tesco however said that they remain “excited by the opportunities available in India”.

The company plans to continue reviewing other possible ways to enter the lucrative Indian market. Bharti interestingly is rumored to be already talking with other potential partners including Wal-Mart, Carrefour and Metro.
