L & T chief A M Naik in surat today accused China to be killing Indian manufacturing in a systematic manner. He also asked for a 25 % anti dumping duty for chinese goods. He was in Surat laying foundation stone for a new forging unit. He said China has fixed currency and not a market economy like ours. He complained that there are taxes for good which are manufactured in India but there is nothing for the imported goods. It gives China and upper hand in the market when it come to price of the product.

He said this is prominent in power equipment sector. He accused that China power equipment manufacturing is working virtually for India. His L & T is a major player in power equipment sector.
