Rep Power: 3 | Hong-Kong based job search portal Recruit.net has said that they are now planning to enter the Indian market. The company plans to invest around USD 3 million in their Indian operations. The company said that they would set up a software development facility and expand its presence in the country. Recruit.net Founder Maneck Mohan said in a statement: “We will invest 1.5 million dollars to set up a software development facility cum sales and marketing office in Bangalore. The facility will be operational by the end of the first quarter of 2007. The rest of the amount will be used in expanding our presence in the country.” They have already launched an Indian specific job portal named ‘Recruit.net India’. It features a search engine that would index job listings around India from multiple sources including job recruitment sites, newspapers, companies and executive firms. As a result, job seekers would be able to search through multiple sites through a single source. Mohan added: “The Indian market is witnessing an unprecedented robustness on the job market front. The portal has been well received in its trial period here with about 200,000 jobs listing in the last one month.” He further said that the company has already indexed corporate pages of 400 Indian companies. They have also partnered with US-based Direct Employees Association for their Indian operations. |
