Default Apple iTunes might get exclusive rights to The Beatles

Apple Computer is the world’s leading seller of digital music and digital music players. However, the company had been fighting with Apple Corps over their use of the Apple mark for music related products and services.

The two companies are now rumored to be talking with each other for a truce. This just might result in a situation where Apple Computer gets exclusive rights to sell Beatles music over iTunes.

Apple Corps is owned by Sir Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr and the families of John Lennon and George Harrison.

This would be a big boost for Apple Computer, which is increasingly facing new competition in the market. Microsoft has just launched their own Zune digital music player, which is supported with its own Zune marketplace.
