Default Despite Losing Market share, Windows Mobile will still be commercial

In midst of a lot of speculations that the forthcoming Microsoft windows OS will be made available for free due to loss share to other vendors like RIM , Google’s android OS and apple OS, the company has maintained its stance that the software will still be a paid product.

Microsoft currently charges anywhere from $8 - $15 for its mobile operating system has decisively said that its product will not be made available for free. This despite, the fact that services like Google have released free OS’s for mobiles and rely completely on the paid applications for profit.

Currently Microsoft is expected to get revenue of about $300 million from the sales of its mobile operating systems. The next major mobile operating system, Windows Phone 7 will be first launched as a part of the HTC product line.

    Default Well...

I am not too sure of getting the next Windows Mobile. I'm using a Samsung OmniaLite Win 6.5 Mob. These are my experiences with it- I synchronised my mail accounts in the mail client and the thing just loves to play with my mails! Some mails don't show up and some do; 2 mails with with different Subject lines show the same content although its not so upon checking the computer mail. The mails show and disappear at will, you never deleted these but somehow its a hide and seek game. I found 2 very important mails upon logging in to the PC but these didn't show in the Mobile mail client! I was wondering why I wasn't getting a reply from someone but it turns out the reply was given on time but the Win Mob mail client chose not to show it! It downloads other bigger mails dated after it but not this particular one despite the fact that my mobile internet connection is smooth and faster than most!

Attachments don't download too sometimes and the best part is that while one can delete Gmail and other mail boxes, Hotmail & Live have no such Option! The Delete button for discontinuing with Hotmail and Live is shown Faded(non-functional)!

Trust me, I have logged my head into the system for 2-3 days before realising that for some strange reason it doesn't want you to do so! lolol... The help section is of no use in this case. On seeing that the Windows messenger was popping in along the Hotmail mailbox settings, I somehow gave it a shot in the dark and clicked on change account in the Messenger settings and cancelled before adding new account details. Mysteriously... this worked! Although I remember adding my account details in the email client and not via the messenger, the messenger just simultaneously tunes itself automatically for any microsoft based account settings. Why can't one delete a Microsoft based account in its client and how weird is it to go through the Messenger and that too by applying a trick on HUNCH?

The operating system loves to pop error messages with the most unique codes describing that so and so program has an error and if I'd like to report it! The funny part is that the program is running well and the operating system has a problem with it! The Marketplace.. well there is nothing special about it and with few FREE softwares that are good, the rest is all a paid money churning theatre!

I wouldn't say I hate it altogether but on using Android, i-phone and likes, Windows mobile feels like an arrogant, stubborn and troublesome operating system altogether. It has its presence but I'm not sure of buying a mobile based on it.
