Deccan Aviation had earlier postponed the listing of their stock in the markets and the issue is scheduled to be listed today. The BSE ID of this stock is 532747 and the NSE ID is AIRDECCAN.
The issue was oversubscribed 1.23 times and holds the record for being the first IPO in the Indian markets to get an extension. The IPO consists of 2.45 crore equity shares and it would be interesting to see how it would perform considering the highly volatile condition the Indian market is in currently.
The IPO issue opened on a disastrous day as the markets crashed over 800 points on May 18. It was originally scheduled to close on May 23 but it was delayed to May 26. The price band of this stock was changed from Rs 150-175 per share to Rs 146-175 per share.
Deccan Aviation is a Bangalore based company and is mainly known for the budget airline company Air Deccan it operates. Air Deccan was the first budget airline to emerge in the country and has revolutionized air travel for Indian people.
