Rep Power: 10 | Reliance Industries to sign a deal with Haryana Government for a Special Economic Zone Reliance Industries is aiming to establish the largest Special Economic Zone in India and is due to sign on a deal with the Haryana Government. Mukesh Ambani would be signing on a deal later today with Haryana Government for the project with estimated investments of Rs 1,25,000 crore. Reliance would be entering this deal with the Haryana State Industrial Development Corporation and the project would be spread over an area of a massive 25,000 acre. RIL would be investing Rs 25,000 crore in the venture and is expecting the rest of the investment from the companies interested in locating their units in this zone. They have already developed a Master Plan which incorporates the development of a fully integrated unit with links to the airport, railway station and even the Delhi Metro. This project is expected to generate employment for more than two lakh people and would have four lakh residents in the city. |
