Default Microsoft to Launch Windows Embedded 7

Microsoft has released Windows Embedded 7. It is a customizable operating system meant to be as on embedded systems. The release was announced at Embedded Systems Conference in San Jose . This operating system can be used to build special products like digital signature recognition, or in ticket vending machines or even in billing counters. Windows embedded was first introduced in September of 2009.

All the applications and drivers that work well with Windows 7, also work on that embedded version, which is good. It also contains the latest updates and software provided by Microsoft such as Internet Explorer 8.0, Windows Media Player 12, .Net framework 3.5, Silver light 3 etc. This has an advantage that it has got built in connectivity with personal computers and servers that are running on windows platform.

The new feature is media centre has been added to this OS which allows this operating system to be used in televisions, set top boxes and other devices which handle multimedia data such as audio tracks movies etc like DVD players.

This version is certain to hit the market. Few companies such as DT Research, A Open, Micro Industries etc are already selling their products which are using this version of windows.
