    Default Turkey blocks Google

    Turkey's Telecommunications Communication Presidency released an official statement on Friday, saying it has blocked access to some Google IP (Internet Protocol) addresses "because of legal reasons", Xinhua reported. Some Google applications may be completely inaccessible or take a long time to load, the statement said.

    Translation and document-sharing tools are among the other Google sites barred in Turkey. Popular video-sharing website YouTube is also banned in the country, for alleged insults against Turkey's founder.

    Can't even imagine a day without Google....

    Google Search, Gmail... very much like oxygen when you get used to Google....

    The unavailable services in Turkey are Google Translate, Sites, Code, AppEngine, Docs, Groups, Feedburner...

    Rumours are that they tried to block youtube IPs and in the process blocked other Google services as well.....

    They can access google by using a proxy server or simply by using Opera turbo mode

    attaching ads at end of my mails ...errrr i HATE IT..thats why yahoo sucks.....even the chat sucks..too much of everything in it....i love Gmail and Gtalk..simple and sweet

    Google loads very faster than yahoo and when I ping Google, it gives result much better than Yahoo server.

    1. Google is lightweight.
    2. Google is ads free, Yahoo is ads full....

    I just told the reasons for Google being quick to load. Not about the ping...

    Personally I have never been a fan of Yahoo.... Not even the mail.....

    Believe me or not.. Google is the best media for U.S.A to earn money, induce their world policies, endangering govt. of anti-us countries by means of human rights activities and creating problems to the countries' internet laws, creating problems for important people and places of the world by introducing satellite based things, with Google they host every kind of data that you have on the internet...

    Yes with google maps locations can be identified and also vital data through official websites that are optimized through google search.
