Connections speed in the above countries is too fast I don't think India can make it to the list.

No no i am not saying about India, but some eastern europian nations too have faster internet today..

May be because Eastern European countries are very small in Area...

i dont think small area is one very important factor for faster Internet..

we should admit that people in Europian countries are fond of getting with the technology and we are not advanced like them,..

India has the cheapest call rates in the world, biggest and fastest and the most reliable postal service in the world, Highest and most scarely populated point in the whole world is connected in the world through mobile network only in India..

i think 2mbps is much for anyone to browse and download, beyond this is for admins..

There are two countries in this list namely Poland and Greece which have low PCIs... but still they are making in the tops list..

I think europian countries have good infrastructure.. their leaders are responsible atleast to telecommunications and roads.. and people dont vote partially for their own caste and creed.

perhaps the high population (largest democracy)matters. once we consider that, we are having heavy inertia and the progress would impede.

Simple answer. We have people like Kalmadi on the top of everything and we sideline people like Dayanithi Maran whenever possible.

i think population is not the mere factor.. (see China- they have biggest population and big part of which is still in villages)..
