British Airways being investigated over ticket prices and fuel charges
British Airways is the Europe’s third largest airline company and they are now being investigated by U.K. and U.S. competition regulators over ticket prices and fuel charges.
This news resulted in company’s share taking a hit in the stock market as share prices went down by as much as 5.2 percent.
British Airways confirmed this in a statement saying that the Office of Fair Trading and the U.S. Department of Justice are investigating alleged cartel activity involving British Airways and other airlines in relation to pricing of passenger air transportation, including fuel surcharges.
British Airways had earlier said in February that they were being investigated by European Union and U.S. antitrust officials about alleged price fixing in the air cargo market.
