    Default Carbon Trading

Is investing in carbon trading companies good? I heard that in 10 years it will be a multi trillion dollar industry worth more than crude oil. What do you guys think?

Yes Carbon credits are a huge business now and by the looks of it this is going to grow even bigger in the days to come.
I doubt it would become bigger then crude oil but yes it will become more and more profitable with time There are a lot of companies in UK which buy carbon credits from Indian companies and pay huge amounts of money in return.

Its hard to believe that it will overtake crude oil, I read it in the weekend paper the other day.

I dont know whether it would take over the crude old industry or not only time would tell about this but i am sure about one thing and that is this is the right time to make a investment with a good company and see some huge profits in near time.

Carbon trading is down to reduce the carbon measures in every country. I dont know exactly but their was a international meeting in which it was decided that every country would reduce its carbon measurement by 25 % and who fail to do so would have to give compensation.

If India and China are in this then i think that they should prepare themselves for paying the plenty because i am sure they have not taken any step in this regard.

If alternative fuels are introduced in near future then i dont think that carbon trading would be of that much profit.

It'll get bigger, of course, but at this point most people have no idea what it is. I guess that might be a reason to get in early, though. As far as the long term impact on carbon emissions, I'm kind of skeptical. But, I guess, that's not the issue here.
