Rep Power: 4 | International Automated Systems is suing software giants Microsoft, IBM and other companies for alleged patent infringements connected to their biometric technology. The Utah based company is claiming that they have taken the inputs from independent experts to assess its automated biometric patent with regard to other biometric technologies. International Automated Systems said in a statement: “IAUS has recently instituted patent infringement lawsuits against a number of companies, including Microsoft, IBM, and others, for allegedly violating IAUS’s automated biometric identification patent.” IAUS further claims to be a pioneer in the biometric technology market and said that they have developed the technologies for fingerprint, hand and retina sensing technology. As per information available with the media sources, the company was founded by former AT&T employees in 1988. |
