Default Time Warner to reveal their AOL strategy in the coming weeks

US based media giants Time Warner has said that they would soon reveal their AOL strategy in the media. The company has however dismissed the claims made by the Wall Street Journal that they would lose up to $1 billion through 2009 if they go head and offer more AOL services for free.

The company said in a statement: “Recent media reports appear to be based on unauthorized disclosures, including of incomplete and largely erroneous financial information. The company cautions investors not to draw conclusions regarding AOL’s future strategy until the company’s presentation on August 2.”

WSJ had claimed that internal sources in the company had informed them that the internet company is considering stopping charging Internet users for many of its services. It further said that the move might cost the company big in the short term but it would benefit in the long run.

Wall Street Journal further said that America Online was concentrating on improving revenues earned through online advertisements to compensate for these free services.
