Rep Power: 4  |  Texas Instruments expands R&D operations in India US based tech giants Texas Instruments is expanding their research and development operations in India. The company has said that they are planning to open its second research and development center in India. Gilles Delsassy, Texas Instruments’ senior vice president of wireless terminals business unit spoke on this new development: “Texas Instruments has been committed to India for over 20 years and I am pleased to say that we are escalating our existing wireless design presence in recognition of the importance of India to the global wireless market.” The company already has a base in the IT city of Bangalore. Delfassy added: “Mobile-phone growth in India is nothing short of a phenomenon, and the wireless industry waits for India’s next move because of the impact it will have on the future of mobile phones.” TI is the world’s largest maker of mobile phone chips and they plan to work in India with Indian and multinational customers. |
