    Default Apple introduces its new refreshed Range of iPods in India

    Apple introduces new refreshed version of its iPod range in India. The updated line-up includes the iPod nano, iPod Touch, iPod shuffle and iPod Classic.

    The iPod shuffle range is available in three new vibrant colors. The iPod Classic now comes with extended memory. The iPod Touch has become slimmer and incorporates volume control buttons.

    Coming to the new revamped iPod nano, the fourth generation iPod flaunts a bigger screen for comfortable video viewing. It is said to be the thinnest iPod ever being just 6.2 mm thick. It also sports a sleek new design with a curved aluminum and glass enclosure. Additionally, it features Apple’s Genius technology to create playlists automatically from the user’s music library with just a click.

    By using the built-in accelerometer the new iPod nano automatically switches to Cover Flow when rotated and automatically goes into Shuffle mode when lightly shaken. It promises to deliver up to 24 hours of music playback or four hours of video playback.

    The nano also comes loaded with Voice Recording feature and Spoken Menu feature for visually impaired to control the iPod with voice instructions. This feature requires an Apple in-ear headphone with mic that is available separately.

    Apple offers the new iPod nano in nine vibrant colors and in two storage capacity 8GB (Rs.9,700) and 16 GB (Rs.12,500).

    Next is the line is the second generation iPod touch which flaunts a amazingly thin contoured metal design. It includes Apple’s revolutionary Multi-Touch user interface, 3.5-inch widescreen glass display, 802.11 b/g Wi-Fi wireless networking, integrated volume control buttons, an integrated speaker, built-in accelerometer and other advanced sensors. The iPod touch also comes with a built-in Nike+ iPod support for easy usage.

    The new iPod touch is available in three storage capacity namely 8 GB, 16 GB and 32 GB which are priced at Rs.15,100, Rs. 19,100 and Rs. 25,000 respectively.

    The new iPod Classic comes with an increased memory of 120 GB and is available in new black and silver colors. It carries a price tag of Rs. 15,400. While the 1 GB iPod Shuffle can be purchased for Rs. 2,700 and the 2 GB model is priced at Rs. 3,800.

    Thats a bit too costly for any mp3 player... after all its just a music player .. why so costly... Its become a fashion statement amongst youngsters.

    This is indeed slightly costlier for a mp3 player.But i haven't tried apple before.I think i can go for it in this month.
