By 2025 an Indian might unfurl the national flag on the lunar surface. ISRO (Indian Space Research Organisation) has a plan to send an
Indian to space by an indigenously developed space craft by 2015.
"If the mission gets successful, there will be an Indian flag on the moon's surface by 2025," said SK Shivakumar, director, ISRO Telemetry, Tracking and Command Network (ISTRAC), Bangalore, on Saturday. Shivakumar was delivering a lecture at the regional science centre on `Chandrayaan' mission as part of the on-going Science Expo-2009.
