    Default Old Newspapers online

Google has started a new project to make available famous newspapers online by making their archives. The project will involve scanning of newspapers and plan to start with North American newspapers, including Quebec Chronicle-Telegraph, said to be the continents oldest newspaper. The company has agreed to take care of all the expenses which will come in scanning the archives of any newspapers, who are willing to share there stories on Google’s website for free. The archives will show articles in the original format and will allow the readers to zoom into stories and browse through the whole edition. The company has proposed to share the revenue generated by the advertisements displayed next to the articles with the publishers.
