NASA has confirmed the tracking of a PC virus that infected the laptops of the space station. This virus was a “worm type” that relayed messages through a mission controlled center. This virus was malicious software that could logs the keystrokes in order to steal passwords or other sensitive data by sending the information to the hackers via internet. Though the laptops are not connected to the stations control systems or the internet, this happened. The NASA is trying to find whether this virus might have entered the computers by hiding in memory drive used for storing music video or other digital files. They are also trying to prevent such incidences in the future.
