    Default My first Newspaper pic

I have already got my pics printed in the Provincial tourism magazines...

This one is a scan of a latest newspaper cutting, where i have shown how people rest their bikes and cars at the important places, discouraging govt. orders...

The pic is eroded by the newspaper printing, and also because taken from inside my car...
but thanks to "Amar Ujala" for addressing the issue resulting mass jams in the public places in and around streets of Nainital..

The ad reads " No parking" order from S.S.P, Nainital.. and below you can see some gentleman has parked his bicycle...

pic copyrights with me and Amar Ujala..

    Hi,

    Congrats on the thing !!

Yes its a problem but not limited to your city or state but a nationwide problem !!

Although in the pic a poor guy has parked bicycle, what I see often is that most of times the educated folks are ones who conveniently break the rules !!

Double parking and that too in a No Parking" zone !! Jumping signals and such are as common as they come !!

Another strange phenomena that I've noticed is people coming in the wrong way by switching on their head lights, How brilliant,Imaginative !!

Well the list goes and I can go all day but its beyond the scope of this thread !

I only wish more people like you come forward and make an impact !!

    Regards.

^^Thanks guys and as you said, its a problem of our country and not just my place...

The thing is that most people buy cars, motor vehicles but cannot buy the common sense required to maintain ettiquettes for roads...

Any chance the Postman has parked his bicycle to deliver the letters !
is it at the Gate of Amar Ujala office? and displayed by the Newspaper?

I doubt the board has any legal validity.
No Parking signs by the POLICE are different. and
    follow international Traffic sign boards.
    2.
Many Private companies give these kind of boards free of cost with their company's name as ADVT.
'NO Parking in front of GATE"
    "Thank you for NOT Parking"
    "Parking Prohibited"
"Outside vehicles not allowed inside " etc.

    3. If R.T.I is invoked , either S.S.P or 'Amar Jwala" will land in trouble !
If any person has been fined.

    4.
For instance, you see board in front of a shop in a pavement:
Stay Order obtained from District Judge vide order No ..... date etc !
Police or Corporation cannot demolish remove /the shop !

Luckily, they are not in Russian language , which most members of this forum are familiar with !!! ( Understanding it is different !) Some shops in Jaipur have name boards in Russian !

    .

Do we need Passport/visa Proficiency in English Language Certificate to
visit Nainital ?( U.K is likely to implement last condition also ) Or a test will be conducted by the SSP at Check points ?

Tourists from other parts of India with drivers knowing ENGLISH language only should be allowed inside Nainital to follow the road signs/boards etc. to avoid accidents etc!!!!.

    Yes, Passport/Any ID is must.
And yes, there are many checkpoints accross Uttarakhand.

English is not must, but drivers from Local region are told to be hired by the Police to avoid accidents, this is not compulsory but notified by Police and state authorities.

I am afraid but most of the things which you mentioned here are true.

And yes, there is a huge number of people here who do literature in Russian. they are from the old communistgrad though.

this is a nice photo I sincerely hope it helps to educate public.
it is very common across many towns, that the cyclists hauling vehicle and pedestrians walking across traffic irrespective of RED lamps. Police become silent spectators. the green signal becomes a waste of time for real use as obstructed by uncontrolled pedestrians and two and three wheeler haulers.

I only hope to see some day where they provide a time slot for these people , which i don't find many traffic controllers have not done till now.
