Nokia N Series phones have brought about a revolution to mobile phoning. They have created the best mobiles for people and thus made life easier than what it seems. The N Series had been producing different models of phone with different features in them thus meeting individual needs. The new phone in the block is the Nokia N97. Announced in November 2008, the quad band phone is expected to get a good attention because of its some new features in them. The phone is a touchscreen phone with a screen as large as 3.5 inches.

Nokia N97 measures 117.2 x 55.3 x 15.9-18.3 mm and weighs 150g. That is inevitable because of features in the phone. The display of the phone is of resolution 360 X 640 pixels, and 16M colors. The phone has new included features in it which are missing in other N series phones like Proximity sensor for auto turn-off, Full QWERTY keyboard, Accelerometer sensor for auto-rotate, and hand writing recognition.

Nokia N97 is equally expert in web functioning like all other N series phones. The phone runs well in 3G network of HSDPA 900 / 1900 / 2100. The device is equipped with GPRS, EDGE, 3G of 3.6 mbps, HSCSD and WLAN. Browsing the web is very easy with WAP 2.0/xHTML, HTML, having RSS feeds. Bluetooth and USB port facilitates connectivity to devices like PC, laptop, printers and other mobile phones.

The operating system of Nokia N97 is Symbian OS v9.4, Series 60 rel. 5. The phone has attributes like SMS, MMS, Push mail, Email, and instant messaging. This Nokia N series phone has not extended the camera features better than its predecessors. Otherwise there are today phones with 8 MP cameras. The camera is of 5 MP with legendary Carl Zeiss optics, flash, autofocus, and video(VGA@30fps). There is a secondary videocall.

The eye-catching features of Nokia N97 are - Built-in GPS receiver, Digital compass, MP3/WMA/WAV/eAAC+/MPEG4/WMV/3gp video player, FM transmitter, TV out, Voice Command, Document Viewer, Built in Hands Free and lot more to explore.

All these features are there in N79 except for Full QWERTY keyboard. It costed me around Rs 19,900 (Approx).

i heared that the cost will be more than 35000.............you are telling 19,000...........what will be the exact cost...............?

N97 is touchscreen phone and FP2 with 360 X 640 pixels
