Default N72 Display

Friends, yesterday was a bad day for me, Somehow my N72 slipped from my hand and banged on the floor. everything is fine except Display, it shows no cracks, but nothing is there on it, yes light is still on, but you can't see anything.

I can make and receive call bt see nothing.

okay my point is, can anyone tell me how much this gonna cost to me.

go and use a local one....

by the way , you can ask the mobile technician to pls make some hand on it, cause nokia phones are die hard....maybe some crystal liquid here and there....

by the way i had my old 2100 slipped from hand in water..those days the display was costly..he asked me to have a new one, i purchased a local one and it was running nicely..later on he replaced it with my older one cause it was working too...yes very honest man!!...

i saved some 500 Rs/- from this episode,...he took just 50 for service charge..

from that time i dont put mobile in the shirts pocket , cause it slips when you bend or try to take it out in no senses...

Well like they say original is better, but if you want to keep the phone for long and not looking to buy another one for some 1-2 years or so, then i think getting the original may be good!
But if you you think you will probably get a phone soon, then just get the local one!

Also find out what the disadvantages can be of getting the local one, i don't think there can be any! If it does go wrong just get another local, so getting locals ones twice would still be under Rs500!

2100 has a small screen with very less colors.for n72, you will atleast save 2000 !!

the one disad of having a local screen is that it drains a bit more battery.but unless you are not in the habit of regular charging, you will never suffer for it!

2100 is not sold anymore my dear friend...and its not with less colors its b/w

by the way who told you that local screeen takes much battery???

n72 is a power eater phone..and i think its not correct to blame the local scree for it..

manish bhai ..why did you slip the phone from hands if you wanted to buy a new one???
you could have sold this one, than bought another...

One query. Was there any difference in the color reproduction quality of the phone screen when fitted with locally made displays. Besides i guess Chinese displays are only available in the market.

Ok i had specifically asked so because vendors in here had given me options of fixing Chinese displays at exorbitant price. They quoted 1800/- for the original and 900/- for the Chinese display. My phone was an old SE k700i

If its a relatively new phone, go for original only..coz u'll be using it a lot more.
If its an old piece, local would do no harm :0
Must be around 500 rs.
