    Lightbulb Nokia N86 8MP

Nokia announced its first 8 MegaPixel Camera Phone - N86 8MP - The latest addition to the N-Series in the MWC 2009 (Mobile World Congress, 16th - 19th Feb 2009). With this announcement Nokia joined Samsung, LG and Sony Ericsson in the race of 8MP camera phones. The looks and features of the phone seems quite cool and interesting to me at first look. Here is a short Preview :

The N86 8MP is in many ways like Nokia's N85 Symbian-powered smartphone, with a super-bright 2.6", 320x240 OLED screen. The N86's star feature is an 8-megapixel camera with a wide-angle Carl Zeiss lens on the back, which also captures 640x480 video at 30 frames per second. The camera has a two-LED flash - much brighter than a single LED.

Otherwise, the N86 is a Symbian phone with 8GB of internal memory and room for a MicroSD memory card. It runs on AT&T's 3G network, T-Mobile's 2G EDGE network and Wi-Fi. It has a TV-out port, stereo Bluetooth, A-GPS and an integrated FM transmitter. Like all Symbian phones, it comes with a top-notch Web browser, plays music and video, and supports a range of e-mail accounts, including Microsoft Exchange.

The Nokia N86 8MP will ship by June for about $473. U.S. consumers can purchase it through Nokia's flagship stores and Web site.

The phone was announced on 17th Feb, 2009 and is expected to release in the 2nd quarter of the year.

What are your opinions about the phone on first look? IMO this will be a success. All the specs including battery life etc seems optimal to me.

yes i completely agree with your point.
I dont understand the logic of these companies, when are going for a higher end phone then they should contain all the features which were included in the lower end sets but these people dont...!

when nokia 6600 was launched i took it at 22,000 and one fellow had some lower end set of around 3-4 thousand, when he saw my cell and was looking at its features he directly said "hey what kind of a phone it is ...? it is not having a simple FM radio" i got so irritated by that.... AH...
It really hurts when you have better phone and others compare it to the simple one's they have got... and yet they win.
