Default Is your nokia phone original?

You can check it using the IMEI number of your mobile

Press the following on your mobile *#06# to see your Phone's IMEI number(serial number).

Then check the 7th and 8th numbers

    Phone serial no. xxxxxx??xxxxxxx

IF the Seventh & Eighth digits of your cell phone are 02 or 20 this means your cell phone was assembled in Emirates which is very Bad quality

IF the Seventh & Eighth digits of your cell phone are 00 or 80 this means your cell phone was manufactured in Germany which is fair quality

IF the Seventh & Eighth digits of your cell phone are 01 or 10 this means your cell phone was manufactured in Finland which is very Good

    Default doesnt matter

Hey we are getting nokia phones which are assembled from china only.
Iit may not be a problem if we purchase this with a valid bill from a trusted retailer.
If its from finland or germany we will not get warranty or any kind of supports from here.

Am using a nokia N70m, and its made in finland as the last couple of digits are 01. BAsically it means the mainboard is made in finland and the Phone is assembled in china.

There is no iota of truth in this.

If your phone is original Nokia, it is assured by Nokia quality. While there could some pieces that are bad or a particular batch that is faulty, this does not reflect on the overall quality.

Even if the set is assembled in China, the QA and QC checks are just as rigourous. "Made in China" does not mean "bad" - it depends on what you are buying. If your item is a generic item/no brand, then you have some reason for few/more hair strands turning gray.

Have you checked the site, there are lot more useful and amazing computer tips and tricks on that site.

I usually buy nokia phones and out of all of them, the one with 00 in its IMEI number is the best till now, battery of this phone is running for years now.

So if its possible we should prefer phones with 00 in IMEI number over the rest of them. At least i will go for 00 one phone

I have never had issues with any Nokia phone that I purchased so far. The only issue is that after 3 years or so, some keys start malfunctioning - but I would expect that to happen.

Nowadays pretty much everything is Made in China ;-)
They make mostly cheap stuff, but it won't be bad
just because it is made in China as opposed to other places.

p.s even though I prefer Made in Japan, Made in USA (very rare these days),
    or Made in Germany.

as long as you purchase from a authorized dealer no problem. Where ever the phone may be assembled its warranty will be the same .

I think so. Maybe in the case of cell phones it doesn't matter if you
are going to change to a different phone every year or so.
But if you want to get something that you want to keep for a long time
then the place of manufacture matters.

The reason companies are moving to China and other countries is to
cut costs. One way is cheap labor but also cheaper materials, etc.

In a lot of cases the country of manufacture fetches different prices
    on the used market.

American made Fender guitars fetch more on the used market than Mexican made ones.

German made Leica cameras and lenses are worth more than Canadian versions.

Japanese made Nikon lenses fetch a premium over Chinese/Thai made ones.

I personally prefer products made in the following countries.

    USA
    Germany
    Japan
    England
    Switzerland
    Austria

According to serial no. my phone is assembled in Emirates but the pack says it have been assembled in China.

My seventh and Eighth digits are 02. I have an valid bill and purchased from a trusted retailer (Not Nokia Priority Store)
