hi can anyone guide how to connect nokia e63 phone with huawei type 2 modem. i have changed settings as per various sites but messages like no gateway reply etc come.i donot know what to do next

hi guys! I recently purchased a Nokia e63 and i want to connect it to the Internet through wireless LAN through my BSNL router. The model no. of the router is "wa3002g1". Whenever i try to connect my mobile to the web through the router the mobile shows a "no gateway reply" error. When i use this router to connect to the internet through my computer i have to provide my dataone username and password and then click on the "connect" button. Hope this information is enough. Please tell me the necessary settings i have to make in the modem or my phone. please help!

Keep the router in PPPoE mode(always on) and set WEP or WPA key.you have to enter that key in mobile to connect the wireless router.

i configured the modem in pppoe mode still no getway reply comes phone side i have configured the parameters. what to do next

M new to this forums and I m also searching for the answer how to connect Nokia E63 to Bsnl Wif-Modem.

To configure the Phone Just go to Access point settings and then edit the advance setting. Just put IPv4 settings and manualy put IP address, Subnetmask and DNS servers of your LAN.

Enjoy the Net on ur phone now.

anyway here is what i did to get it working on a WA3002-g1 modem.

Interface Setup --> Wireless --> Wireless MAC address Filter -->
Click "Active"
Mac Address #1 "Add your E63 wireless MAC address" this can be found in your E63 carton box along with IMEI.

Dont forget to add your other MAC address of your Laptop or other WiFi device that will connect thro this modem.

Also assign a static IP address & default gateway in your E63 phone.

Hi,
E63 does not support HSDPA. I want to use the MTNL, 3G unlimited service, as the main LAN connection to the Internet.
I know E71 has that feature, but costs a lot more. Can I do it on the cheap with the E63, perhaps via the blue tooth, or the WiFi connection?

Thanks a lot for helping. I have followed your instructions but I'm still not able to connect since I dont know how to insert an IP Address and a DG in to the E63. Further, which Channel needs to be selected in the router. I'm using a open network. Is that fine?

I have gone through the same problem and got the solution. Try and understand that when using bsnl router from your laptop/pc you require to enter username and password in the broadband dialer that you created in internet connection.
Now while your cell phone connects to the router with the encryption password it can not surf internet since the username and password is not getting fed

SOLUTION

Go to your modem settings. By typing 192.168.1.1 in your browser. default username and password is 'admin' and make necessary changes in your connection so that you fill the user name and password in the modem. for details serch your modem configuration on net

Select your WIFI modem.
In lan page enable DHCP.
Save reboot Wait for 2 minutes.
confirm WIFI network name appears in Phone .

Did not understand question and your answer gives no help.

Open your browser.
type 192.168.1.1
select the wireless network and then mac address filter. click add and add your phone mac adress in whitelist .
then select internet connection and look for pppoE.and click edit, and click next until you see ppp over Ethernet and select the radio button.
click next and select the radio button "enter IP address manually"
enter the ip address 192.168.1.5 .click next.
int6he next step enter your default bsnl user name and pasword and click apply.


in your phone after your phone detects your wifi signal ,goto configuration settings and enter the manual ip adress .

(a) Dialer "bridged"( ( enter username PW in computer window )
(b) 'Always On' PPP/PPPoE ( userId/Pw entered in WAn page )
If (a) uncheck " bridged" box in Wan page and try (b)

SAVE reboot wait for a minute or two.

Note that there is no pppoe in the internet settings and i cant configure the modem.it shows error message after configuring to pppoe.
Am I have to change modem...

actaully im using windows7 by typing this command ipconfig/all i am unable to collect the physical address for wifi and lan as its not scolling upto the top
i am only getting the info regarding tunnel adapter local area connections .. :O
and actually i did what u have told in ur previous thread but after that i m unable to connect my computer through wifi and now i m using lan to connect it
in management i have restore the defaults and added the user name and password and the ip address 192.168.1.2 after that i was able to connect to lan but i m unable to connect to wifi what should i do now :O

Embarrassed ( spell check done !) that your problem not solved in this forum, since last week /April 2010 (post No 18 & 14)
1.Please go through old posts and also answer queries raised by members. .
You may have to enter Security code in your mobile .
2.
Copy/paste following data with out edit.
( Only LAN WLAN data required . No tunnels !)

Para two :
Access modem menu and go to management. select BackUP
and save present settings to say C:/MY Documents/ ethernet mode working.
confirm.


Para three:
If you are on "Dialer'Mode ( userId/Pw entered in COMPUTER window)
open 192.168.1.1. admin admin
Advanced options
WAn
edit
deselect "Bridged"
select PPP/PPPoE Next
etc.
In LAn page enable DHCP enter 192.168.1.3 to 192.168.1.10
Save reboot Wait for 2 minutes.
