Rep Power: 1 | Well after much of the required market research that I do before buying a phone I finally got my eyes on the fairly new Nokia E63. Almost similar to Nokia E71 which is priced at around Rs.20000/- and seems to be quite expensive when we compare both the phones in terms of features. The only major points where E 71 can be considered somewhat superior is the metallic body that it has while E 63 comes with a plastic body but has its own benefits since you have less of finger prints as compared to the one’s that form on a metallic body. Then in this case E63 scores in variety of colour it has to offer. It comes in red, which is new and looks smart. It also comes in blue colour apart from the conventional black. It has a 2 mega pixel camera which gives fairly good results since the photos are meant only to set wallpaper on the phone and we hardly get them developed. So, there is no point paying extra for the 3.2 mega pixel camera that E 71 Supports. E 71 (144 X 57 X 10mm) is supposed to be sleeker as compared to E63 (113 X 59 X 13mm) but then the difference is of 1 0r 2 mm which hardly makes any difference and you cannot convince yourself to pay extra for such a difference. It has all business features like GPRS, GPS, wireless lan, WCDMA, Bluetooth and many such technologies. It is a complete business phone and can be easily called a pocket laptop. Its QWERTY keypad makes typing very easy and less time consuming. One can easily adapt to this laptop/computer like keypad. The battery backup is also very commendable and lasts for as long as 4 days without charging with moderate talking. With such a strong battery it almost slips your mind to recharge it even when it is required. The memory card slot can also accommodate card for up to 8 GB. This enables one to save images, video, presentations, mails and many such things for quick references. It is better that many phones from Nokia N Series. It has one more benefit since you can plug in the standard headphone pin in it, a feature which is not found in many Nokia Phones. Though it is often said that E 71 is the big brother of E63 but I would consider it other way round. It makes for a best phone given the price range of around Rs.13000. It gives me no reason why to buy Nokia E71 in front of this complete package E63 without hurting your pocket much. It can prove to be the best buy and complete value for money but only thing that you have to buy separately is the cool side slider cover that comes with Nokia E71. But then who minds paying a bit extra |
