Thread: Nokia to go usb ?

I recently heard from a mobile seller friend that Nokia is going to sell all its upcoming phones with standard usb port. (indeed with all the other brands)


If this is true than i think that Nokia is doing bad thing. Because Nokia's phones have better charging ports i always felt that Nokia is more reliable brand. USB ports have tendency of fast wear and tear, which makes me feel bad for them. and charging is a normal activity where people dont want to think too much on putting it correctly or not, its the best thing that current nokia phones have, and its the charging pin system. Old models have thick pin whereas the new ones have thinner ones..

i want nokia to look back and work on pins rather than on usb, because usb's inner metallic plates can short-circuit, and its costly to replace them than with the pins.

I dont agree on this with you, because USB ports are reliable, and theses days there are more than one of each PC!

Im sure if Nokia are coming up with a USB port system then they will also give the option to charge via socket plugs too, like iPhone!

@mickey, I too do not agree with you on USB.

USB is very reliable and USB interface gives a lot of advantage for connectivity also.

Although there are a lot of computer users today and the USB would be good for them to use, but however there are still many people who don't use computers, so this would mean a rejection for Nokia phones for them!
