Thread: Nokia dual sim mobile future plans?

Hi all,
Does anybody know of the Nokia dual-sim mobile phones coming out in the next say 3-6 months. I have been trying to get a sense of its strategy and what sort of phones its going to launch in the next few phones. I'm looking exclusively for dual-sim mobiles with net access and multimedia (video) playing capability within 5k range.

I saw some of the reviews of the Nokia C2 which has been launched or is in due process of launching in the next 2-3 weeks or so.

One of the reviews I read went something like this :-

Why nokia selling c2 for low cost?
Ans: 1) It's camera is not of any use because, normally all vga cameras take qcif videos(176*144 resolution with 15fps) but c2's camera will take very poor pictures and videos(sub-qcif 126*96 resolution with 10fps).
2) 64k color display with color depth of 16bits(normally 18bits and more in other low end nokia phones) so display is poor.
3) No streaming support.
4) Noisy loud speaker, so annoying sound quality.
5) Mic quality will be poor.
So c2seekers, be carefull because at any time it can get hardware problems..

What I would be looking for ? A sort of ultimate one for now.

a. Nokia and it needs to be a dual-sim
b. Needs to have good GPRS net access (3G is pricey as of now, handset pricing)
c. Good display 2.2" atleast. Preferably OLED (much lesser battery consumption than LCD displays)
d. Good battery 12-1500 mAH (preferably lithium polymer rather than lithium-ion)
e. Blackberry styled keypad rather than the convulted single letter typing thing.
f. Preferably Android but if not than anything from S40 to S60 OS .

All this within a 3.5-4k range I know lots of chinese mobiles one could get with the above features at around the same or maybe even lesser price points but would like to award those people who are atleast manufacturing the mobiles in India rather than just importing it from abroad.

If anybody knows anything from Samsung stable as well which does what I want please lemme know that as well.

If you know of something in the pipeline of either these manufacturers please lemme know, can wait for as long as 6 months if some good model is expected.

Really great to see Nokia also entered in dual sim market..with in the price limit of 3k..

Recently Nokia has launched Nokia C2-02 which has pretty good features.I have bought it and highly recommend.

I am also Glad that nokia has finally entered in dual sim market...I always prefer nokia over other brands
