Is Nokia E6 a better option for me in todays android filled world??

Whether it is Symbian (Nokia), Android, Apple OS, or whatever, why should the OS really concern you as long as the phone works as desired.

The OS matters only in case of speed and other applications available. For the functions that you mentioned, OS will not matter.

Choose the phone that you like (size, weight, feel, asthetics, etc.) and which is in your budget.
