    Default Battery problems

Recently Nokia was in a problem with the manufactured batteries and they admitted it. It was a utter fiasco for them. This incident for sure have decreased the liability on them. They should not repeat the same in the future to avoid the fall in their market share. But the good thing is that they agreed to return the battery and exchanged it.

I think Nokia did the right thing.. Had it been some desi company they would have never owned up to the problem and if there would have been any incidences they would have blamed the customer.
Atleast these MNC's have some business ethics..

For me Nokia has become more reliable and I would still trust nokia and I will keep Nokia as and when they launch new feature rich mobile phones.
I am now waiting for their new wimax enabled mobile phone which is due to be launched in Jan 2008 here in India.

The nokia wimax phone I was talking about is yet to be launched and there is very little information which has been disclosed by nokia thats why we dont see much about it on the internet or other media.
I read about it at some press release site some time back and it said it will be launched in the beginning of 2008 so not too far now

I think that Nokia did exactly what a responsbile company should do. You know how much does each battery cost and as of it they agreed to suffer loss for benefit of there customer which is a very big positive point from them.

Nokiad manged this problem in the right way and i think as you are saying that customer would loose their trust in it but i think you are wrong on this. People now have more faith in this company as they had before this battery problem.

yeah..that was the only good option for them and even i think they did just right..well if i have to compare their battery life with some other mobile company..i would say whatever offer they are offering for the non-working batteries their batteries can never beat Sony Ericsson..i came to notice this only recently when i purchased sony's walkman phone..

Well this was something which was a little big blow and a good amount of loss to Nokia company as it had to replace million of battries but still i would say that it is a good thing that they handled such a problem in such a good manner.

but look at the indian people... various cases just sprung up in many small towns that their batteries burnt up; and pushed further into the limelight by the damned out of control media...
all of the cases turned out to be with fones that had batteries way older than the problem batch; just to get new batteries these people probably burnt their fones up; i think india is not used to product recalls... and does not deserve this either. :x
    DON'T beam me up, Scotty!
