i far as i know 3g can install 3rd party apps
my vote goes to n96 for better features
but i phonne has its share of top level quality
so if you ask me, then i would only buy the i phone if i had a crush on it.
recently my friend got his hands on iphone 3G, I used it for a period of 1 day.
Nice phone, who says BT is not there? BT is not file sharing, there r other better ways of file sending. U can use it to handle ur voice calls.
And what bugged me is that it cant be used as a portable hardddisk, if u want to load ant stuff into it, u'll need itunes.
Rest everyrhings fine, 2 MP camera really shines!
Music quality turly amazing, google maps with GPS system told me my exact location.
AUr kya chahiye??
Nokia N96 wins "Hands Down" for me. Apple iPhone is just over-hyped.
Hey,
You guys are all biased .........
--> Compare N96 and I-Phone 3 gs price (199$)
--> I-Phone has the fastest mobile processor and Web browser
--> Its display more than makes up for its low camera res
--> It looks cooler !
Hence I-phone is way better
And before you say anything .....No i dont own an I-phone,so i am not biased ............But yeah i have used it extensively .......
i will still vote for n 96.. it needs a deep study.. usage and software understanding.. when it comes to your daily usage ........ u will alway regret for i phone.. its a crap.. so much of memory .. except i tunes.. no use.. no bluetooth... only 2 mp cam.. no flash.. touch screen frankly is failure... once fallen from hand.. screen breaks.. exteme care shud be taken...
i think tht phone is designed for use in abroad........... pl.. not in india.. n96 or even n95 will be amazing..
u ppl will remember me... in due course of time.. let iphone takes it time.. for later ppl will realise their loss.. just for name IPHONE ... ppl go mad and buy.. nothing more..basically ppl just want something new.. for everyday life..
I myself think that iPhone is too pricey in India. N96 wins by features. But if both phones were the same price (around $200 equivalent), I will go for iPhone. The touchscreen and the flip-by-finger feature is really cool. On the downside, the iPhone gets lots of smudges that are too visible for liking because of the extremely shiny surface.

In N96...there Live TV feature...What is this..
You are correct
--> I-Phone was designed keeping in mind the "well off" affluent society of the developed countries .
--> I-phone is designed for soft usage
-->I-Phone is Hyped
Its not a good phone for India because
-->Its costly here
-->(Adults !)Indians like to drop their phone into washing machines and the road ....as its not designed for rough usage it sucks
-->Indians do not like to maintain their phone (nothing special just once in a while wipe your touch screen ,with soft cloth not sand paper)
-->There is still no 3g capability in India.....well its the i-phone 3g !
-->Bollywood songs are not present in I-Tunes service...
